Job Description: Nanoscale Components, Inc., is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to become an integral member of a highly skilled Engineering Team to design, build and deploy custom electrochemical processing equipment that increases lithium-ion battery energy density at GWh scale. Ideal candidate will have experience in chemical processing equipment design and commissioning. Experience with solvent processing is advantageous.

Essential Functions:
- Design, develop and build pilot and production chemical processing systems
- Develop test protocols and SOPs to validate scale-up of R&D and pilot to mass production
- Implement design changes and improvements for existing equipment
- Integrate work of consultants and third-party contractors
- Develop vendor and consulting contacts
- Manage project priorities and cross-project dependencies
- Control project schedules and cost
- Insure quality of integrated system
- Drive productivity improvement of the company’s processes and systems
- Plan installation and operation with customers as part of integrated battery facilities
- Create and maintain engineering data
- Drawings, P&IDs and system performance data for production
- BOM(s) in PDM Windchill Software
- Manuals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline
- 5+ Years of experience in industrial equipment and systems design
- Experience in process scale up (laboratory to plant, process troubleshooting and process optimization)
- Knowledge of PLC and control systems
- Experience with process simulation software and design software packages
- Experience in DFx principles and methodologies
- cGMP experience preferred
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills
- US citizen or permanent resident
